loanDepot park: an accessible guide to every section
In order to assist in finding tickets for Marlins games, the following is an overview of the stadium, sections, and details about the location of each section in the stadium.
A seat map answers one question at a glance: where would I actually be sitting? This page answers the same question in words — for all 107 sections at loanDepot park. What the section number means, where it sits relative to home plate, how deep it is, where the entrance is, and which end of the row seat 1 is on.
How the ballpark is laid out
loanDepot park opened in 2012 as Marlins Park and was renamed in March 2021. Capacity is 37,442. A three-panel retractable roof parks behind the first-base grandstand and opens in about thirteen minutes, and six retractable glass panels behind left field open onto the downtown skyline. Four ticketed tiers: the Promenade Level lower bowl numbered 1–40, the Home Run Porch 134–141, the Lexus Legends Level 200s and the Vista Level 300s.
Section numbers increase from right field, up the first-base side, past home plate, down the third-base side and out to left field. Low numbers are the first-base and right-field side; high numbers are the third-base and left-field side.
The sections directly behind home plate are:
- Promenade Level (1-40): sections 13–18.
- Vista Level (300s): sections 311–318.
How the tiers stack
The home-plate block sits at 13–18 in the lower bowl and 311–318 on the Vista Level. Two tiers never reach the plate at all. Sections 212–218 do not exist — suites and the press box fill that arc — so the Lexus Legends Level runs 201–211 and 219–228 with no behind-the-plate section, and the Home Run Porch is a right-field deck that never reaches the infield. Distances on both are left blank rather than guessed.
Landmarks
- The dugout sides are genuinely disputed. Ballparks of Baseball and the ticketing source's Promenade Infield review put the Marlins on the third-base side, fronted by sections 19–21, with the visitors at 8–10. The same ticketing source's Dugout Club page says the opposite. The club's own guide names the dugout clubs without assigning teams, so this guide does not settle it.
- Bullpens beyond the outfield walls — one behind the left-field fence at sections 29–31, the other in right field beneath the Home Run Porch at 38–39. Which pen belongs to which team is contradicted between the expert review and the fan notes on the very same pages.
- Netting stands 30 feet high at the ends of each dugout and tapers down each foul line, reaching the end of section 3 in right field.
- The retractable roof and glass panels mean this is the one park in the set that can be fully air-conditioned; the six left-field panels are 240 feet long and 60 feet high combined.
- The Social and AutoNation Alley are the standing-room areas — drink rails above sections 1–3 down the right-field line, and a multi-tiered deck in left field.
How seat numbers work at this park
Every section page for this ballpark states the same rule: facing the field, seat 1 is on your right. Combined with the direction the section numbers run, that resolves to one rule for the whole park:
Seat 1 sits on the edge of the section facing the next LOWER section number, and seat numbers count up toward the next HIGHER section number.
| Where you are | Seat 1 is… | Higher seat numbers are… |
|---|---|---|
| The third base / left field half (sections numbered above the home-plate block) | closest to home plate | farther from home plate |
| Directly behind home plate | on the first-base side of the section | toward the other side |
| The first base / right field half (sections numbered below the home-plate block) | farthest from home plate | closer to home plate |
So a single rule of thumb will not cover the whole park. Each section entry below spells out which end of its row seat 1 is on.
Rows
Rows are mixed and vary by section. Promenade infield sections usually run lettered rows in front of numbered ones — sections 12 and 18 read “A-E, 1-27” — while some corner sections are numbers only and do not start at 1, as section 1 does at row 9. The Legends Level is numbers only and no more than ten rows deep, and the Dugout Club uses rows AA to DD. Accessible rows are labelled WC and sit at the top of the section, doubling as the entrance.
Accessibility landmarks
Wheelchair-accessible and semi-ambulatory seats are available on every level, generally at the top of the section by the concourse entrance. The WC row label makes them visible directly in the published row list.
- The accessible row is labelled WC and is also the section entrance
- Eight public elevators serve every seating level, with ramps as an alternative
- Electrical outlets for medical devices are provided in designated seating areas on the Promenade, Legends and Vista levels
- Sensory kits and a sensory room are on the Legends Level
A complete section-and-row inventory of accessible seating was not available in text form when this was compiled, so the list above is a set of landmarks rather than a complete map. The ticket office can confirm specific seats.

Get the underlying data
Everything on this page is generated from these files. They are plain text and open in any spreadsheet or text editor.
- Download the section-by-section data as a CSV spreadsheet — 107 sections, 13 columns (loandepotpark_sections.csv, 110 KB)
- Download the seating-zone overview as a CSV spreadsheet (loandepotpark_layout.csv, 4 KB)
- Download the methodology and confidence notes as a Markdown text file (loandepotpark_notes.md, 5 KB)
Sources, confidence and caveats
Rows, entrance rows, zones and seat-numbering direction come from RateYourSeats section pages, one page fetched per section, with A View From My Seat as a fallback. Orientation, dugouts, bullpens, capacity and accessibility come from the team's own ballpark and disability access guides, cross-checked against independent ballpark guides. Every row of the section CSV carries its own confidence rating. Of 107 sections, 96 are high confidence, 11 medium and 0 low.
Known gaps
- Which side the home dugout is on is not settled. Three sources put the Marlins on third base and one puts them on first. The club's own guide declines to say. Both readings are recorded rather than reconciled.
- The Bullpen Bar & Grill sells its own “sections 1-3”, which collide by number with lower-bowl sections 1–3 down the right-field line. A ticket reading section 2 could mean either.
- The lower-bowl wrap is medium confidence. Two sources place sections 34–40 in right field beneath the Home Run Porch; an older review from the same ticketing source calls 38–39 left field.
- Bullpen ownership is contradicted within single pages — the expert review and the fan notes on the same section disagree about which team warms up where.
- Fourteen field-level premium sections labelled FL1 to FL16 appear in the venue index but carry no per-section data, and FL12, FL13, lower-bowl 33 and 37, Legends 212–218 and Vista 301 do not exist at all.
- Capacity is 37,442 against a seated-only figure of 36,742, and no source states which compass direction the batter faces.
- Seats per row is not published for any section in the park.

About this page
Built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA: a skip link, one h1 with a properly nested
heading outline, landmark regions, tables with captions and row and column headers, visible focus
indicators, form controls with persistent visible labels, a live region announcing filter results,
targets at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, no information conveyed by colour alone, text that reflows at
320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, and support for the operating system's dark mode. No
JavaScript is required to read any content — the filter is an enhancement, and the full
