Fenway Park: an accessible guide to every section

In order to assist in finding tickets for Red Sox games, the following is an overview of the stadium, sections, and details about the location of each section in the stadium.

A seat map answers one question at a glance: where would I actually be sitting? This page answers the same question in words — for all 273 sections at Fenway Park. What the section number means, where it sits relative to home plate, how deep it is, where the entrance is, and which end of the row seat 1 is on.

How the ballpark is laid out

Fenway Park opened on 20 April 1912 and is the oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. Capacity is 37,775 on the club’s own 2026 figure, and Fenway is one of the few parks with a real day-and-night difference, because the centre-field bleachers are tarped over to form the batter’s eye for afternoon games; three other published figures disagree and are recorded in the gaps below. Every section identifier here carries a letter prefix naming its tier, because the plain numbers repeat from tier to tier. The lower bowl runs Field Box FB1–FB82 with Right Field Box RFB87–RFB97 out in right field, Loge Box LB98–LB165 behind it, Grandstand GS1–GS33 behind that under the roof, and Bleachers B34–B43 beyond the outfield wall. Above them sit the Green Monster Seats M1–M10 on top of the left field wall, the Dell Technologies Club EMCC1–EMCC6 and Aura Club HPPC1–HPPC5 behind home plate, the Pavilion tiers — Aura Pavilion Club PC1–PC14, Pavilion Box PB1–PB14 and Pavilion Reserved PR15–PR20 — and the odd-numbered Right Field Roof Boxes RB23–RB43 on the top deck down the first-base line.

Fenway Park runs two numbering schemes at once, and which one applies depends on the tier. On the lower tiers — Field Box, Loge Box, Grandstand and Bleachers — the numbers sweep one way round the bowl: they rise from right field and the first-base side, past home plate, and on toward third base and left field. On the Pavilion tiers they do not sweep at all: they run outward from home plate by parity, with odd-numbered sections along the first-base line and even-numbered sections along the third-base line, so PC1 and PC2 are neighbours beside the plate on opposite sides of the diamond rather than next to each other.

The sections directly behind home plate are:

How the tiers stack

The home-plate block sits at FB39–FB50 in the Field Boxes, LB125–LB134 on the Loge Level, GS18–GS20 in the Grandstand, EMCC1–EMCC6 in the Dell Technologies Club and HPPC1–HPPC5 in the Aura Club, so a number that means home plate on one tier means the outfield on another. Eight tiers have no home-plate block at all and their distances are left blank rather than guessed: the Right Field Box, the Bleachers, the Green Monster Seats and the Right Field Roof Boxes are each wholly at one end of the ballpark and never wrap behind the plate, and the three Pavilion series — Aura Pavilion Club, Pavilion Box and Pavilion Reserved — begin beside the plate and run outward down both foul lines, so no single centred section exists to measure from. The standing-room areas are not sections and carry no distance either. The Grandstand anchor is the weakest of the five: no source names the behind-the-plate grandstand range outright, and GS18–GS20 is the narrowest band consistent with everything that is stated.

Landmarks

How seat numbers work at this park

This ballpark uses two numbering schemes at once. Most of it sweeps one way round the bowl: the numbers rise from first base and right field round past home plate toward third base and left field. But Aura Pavilion Club (PC1–PC14) and Pavilion Reserved (PR15–PR20) number outward from home plate by parity instead — odd numbers toward first base and right field, even numbers toward third base and left field — so a section number means something different depending on which tier it is on. That is a property of the ballpark, not a mistake in the data.

The seat numbering is the one thing that is consistent throughout:

Facing the field, seat 1 is on your right.

Which end of the row that puts you on relative to home plate therefore changes from one half of the park to the other, and on the parity tiers it changes between odd and even sections. Every section entry below states the answer for that section, which is the only reliable way to read this park.

Rows

Row labelling changes from tier to tier and, at Fenway, from section to section within a tier, so the per-section row list below is the one to trust. Field Boxes use letters, generally up to row M where the main concourse walkway runs, but the premium Dugout Club rows sit in front of row A and are labelled numerically or with tripled letters — FB45 reads “A1, 2-3, A-M” and FB80 reads “AAA, A-L”. Right Field Boxes and Loge Boxes use doubled letters, and the Loge zone claim of AA–NN is a generalisation only: LB98 runs DD–RR, LB130 AA–NN and LB165 JJ–PP. The Grandstand, the Bleachers, the Green Monster Seats and the Aura Pavilion Club use numbers, with row 1 at the front; bleacher depth varies enormously, from 1–10 in B34 to 1–50 in B42 and B43. Pavilion Box, Pavilion Reserved and Roof Box use letters from row A at the front. No source states an accessible-row label convention for this ballpark, so none is given here.

Accessibility landmarks

The club publishes a disability access guide naming the areas that hold wheelchair spaces, but no section numbers anywhere, so this page can list areas and gates and nothing finer. All five gates are accessible and any ticket may be used at any gate. The elevator geography is the most precise locational fact the guide gives.

A complete section-and-row inventory of accessible seating was not available in text form when this was compiled, so the list above is a set of landmarks rather than a complete map. The ticket office can confirm specific seats.

PR16Pavilion Reserved (PR15–PR20)Pavilion Reserved"Located on the third base side of the field"; "Provide a more angled look toward home plate and the infield"; "Pavilion Reserved sections are located on the upper deck of Fenway Park, positioned along the Pavilion Level behind the Pavilion Club and Pavilion Box sections."; "These sections include Sections 15 through 20 on the seating chart and sit high above the playing field." The side statement comes from the page's "First Base vs Third Base Side" block, whose row reads "Sections 16-20 Located on the third base side of the field" — it covers a range rather than PR16 alone, and it agrees with discovery's parity rule (even = third base).A-KUNKNOWN

As at PR16 the side line is the "Sections 16-20" row of the page's First Base vs Third Base Side block, not a PR18-only sentence. Agrees with discovery's parity rule (even = third base)."Rows A-K" (Section Insights row line)UNKNOWN

Sources, confidence and caveats

Rows, entrance rows, zones and seat-numbering direction come from RateYourSeats section pages, one page fetched per section, with A View From My Seat as a fallback. Orientation, dugouts, bullpens, capacity and accessibility come from the team's own ballpark and disability access guides, cross-checked against independent ballpark guides. Every row of the section CSV carries its own confidence rating. Of 273 sections, 267 are high confidence, 6 medium and 0 low.

About this page

Built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA: a skip link, one h1 with a properly nested heading outline, landmark regions, tables with captions and row and column headers, visible focus indicators, form controls with persistent visible labels, a live region announcing filter results, targets at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels, no information conveyed by colour alone, text that reflows at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, and support for the operating system's dark mode. No JavaScript is required to read any content — the filter is an enhancement, and the full section table is in the markup.
