Image Description Toolkit (IDT)
Version 4.8.1 can describe your photos entirely on a Copilot+ PC, using Windows' own AI model, as well as on a Mac with Apple Intelligence — no API key, no account, no internet connection, no cost.
An open-source toolkit for creating high-quality image descriptions and accessible metadata. Includes a CLI and GUIs and supports local AI models via Ollama as well as several cloud providers. It can also use the AI model built into the computer itself: Windows AI on a Copilot+ PC running Windows 11 24H2 or later, and Apple Intelligence on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 27.
